A Blog of Her Own

Somebody’s gotta be interested in how I feel, just ’cause I’m here and I’m real.

I’d Like Some Cheese…to go with this whine. January 14, 2008

I’m sitting in the library typing this because if I don’t complain about the suckiness of my current class/time management situation I won’t be able to get the work done.

Ok, here’s the long and the short of it. I knew MBA 500 was going to be a bitch. I was warned, papers every week, presentations, etc. I was prepared. I still am, sort of. My problem is that I’m really bad at starting things. I procrastinate. I put off readings and research until I only have a few days to finish things. This has worked for me in the past. However, it was usually only two or three papers of significant length per semester. Not a 10 pager every week.

I guess I’m worried that I won’t prioritize correctly. That I’ll burn out and have to give up some of my other activities in order to complete stupid busy work assignments.

Of all the people in my class I should have the least difficulty with actually executing the assignment. I was an English major, I know how to cite things, and basically with the amount of citation he’s requiring the amount of actual writing is minimal. My problem is I work REALLY slowly.

As a general rule I complete about a page an hour when I’m in the zone. That’s not counting research hours/compilation/ revision, formatting, etc. So, it looks like my plan is going to be thus: today, read assigned reading->gym->dinner->night class->back to the library to do research->home to bed.

Thankfully my week tends to get easier as it goes on, and if all else fails I’ll skip skiing Friday and lock myself in the computer lab.

I’m in a shitty mood.

Filed under: fashion, how i roll, me, shoes!, socks — Shaba @ 5:10 pm

I am currently wearing navy blue pants; navy blue suede shoes….and black socks. This is the story of my life. I try to look put together and one little thing will throw my fashion train completely off the track.
